Lewis Capaldi started as a laid back, funny small town lad from Glasgow. He gained a lot of his following from his personality and how funny he was on social media. Most of his life he spent doing music, as he learned how to play guitar by the time he was 9, and was fully committed to a music career by the time he was 17. His big hit “Before you go” was very personal to him as it was written in memory of his aunt who had taken her life when he was “four or five” and he described the song as “by far the most person tune” he’s ever written. He first played at TRNSMT fest in his home city in 2017 on one of the small staged (king tuts stage). I’m 2019 he was then a lot more known and played on mainstage at TRNSMT, and this year (2022) he headlined the whole weekend by being the last headliner to play on Sunday (I WAS THERE) and it was the most magical experience ever and he spoke about his pasts and how grateful he was for all his fans and family and friends. He struggles with anxiety and  was recently announced that he was diagnosed with tourette’s syndrome.
